Enrollment Guidelines

In accordance with Federal and State law, Noah Webster Academy does not discriminate based on race, creed, color, religion, national origin or ability/disability status. Students currently enrolled at Noah Webster Academy remain enrolled until they graduate our program or a formal change is made. Open seats at Noah Webster Academy are filled in the following order: (1) children of NWA founding members; (2) currently enrolled students; (3) siblings of currently enrolled students; and (4) applicants admitted by the lottery process.

All eligible applications received by the deadline will be qualified for admission or, if necessary, entered into a lottery for admission. Current patron enrollment (aka Re-Enrollment) will begin the beginning of January and run through the third Thursday of January. Open enrollment for the public will begin the third Friday in January and close on the third Friday of February. Please see Important Dates for the exact schedule of the current year. Parents are responsible for ensuring Noah Webster Academy has correct email information on file for the enrollment process.

Parents will be notified within 14 business days of the lottery of either their child(ren)'s acceptance into Noah Webster Academy or their placement on the waiting to be seated list. Once notified of their child(ren)'s placement, parents have fourteen calendar days to complete the registration packet, which will be available on our website and in the front office, and return it to Noah Webster Academy. This will secure the student's enrollment. If the parent fails to submit a registration packet, by the deadline given, the acceptance letter will be invalid and the student(s) will lose their allotted position. At this point, the position will be offered to wait listed children.

Transfer Policy

In accordance with Utah Administrative Code R277-470-6, Noah Webster Academy will attempt to notify a withdrawing student's school of residence of their transfer using a USOE-designated transfer form and shall attempt to enroll students and exchange student information consistent with 53A-1a-506.5(2).

Parents may withdraw their student from Noah Webster Academy for enrollment in another charter school or a school district by submitting notice of intent to enroll the student in the district of residence for the subsequent year to the student's charter school no later than June 30 of the current school year.  Parents may also submit notice of intent to enroll the student in another charter school for the subsequent school year to the current charter school of attendance, together with a letter of acceptance from the proposed charter school of attendance, no later than June 30 of  the current school year; or obtain approval from both the charter school of attendance and the school district or charter school in which enrollment is sought if the parent desires to change the student's enrollment during  the school year or after June 30th.

Noah Webster Academy includes a statement of its racially nondiscriminatory policy as to students in its brochures and catalogues dealing with student admissions, programs, and scholarships, and includes a reference to its racially nondiscriminatory policy in other written advertising that it uses as a means of informing prospective students of its programs.
