I grew up in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I have one younger brother and two younger sisters.

I moved out west to go to school and I've been out here ever since!  I student taught in Kearns, Utah and graduated from BYU-I at the end of 2012 with a degree in Early Childhood/Special Education.

In March of 2013, I found NWA and was offered a position as a special ed. instructor. During the 2013-2014 school year, I was a Special Ed. IA in the morning and taught kindergarten in the afternoon. In 2014, I moved up to first grade and I've been here ever since!  I love watching my scholars grow and experience new things.

Last summer, my husband and I had a baby boy!  Samuel turned one on June 18th.  I love to travel, read, run, and scrapbook, but lately I spend my time chasing my toddler and keeping him out of trouble. :)

I have lived in Utah for 47 years. I also spent a year in Texas. I attended American Fork High School, and graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

I have two children, two step children, and two grandkids. My wife, Angelica, and I, enjoy traveling, especially to the beach. We recently spent time in Cancun, relaxing and playing in the ocean. When I am not teaching and traveling, I enjoy playing basketball, watching soccer, fishing, and relaxing.

This is my sixth year at Noah Webster Academy. I have enjoyed every minute of it. The administration is great. The teachers are excellent, and are great people to work with. Most important, the students have been a joy to teach, and to get to know. I look forward too many more years at this school.

I am Mrs. Kalakis, I live in Riverton with my husband, Brett and three kids, Kayla 13, Lilly 2, and Carter 4 months.

After graduating from Lehi High School,  I moved to Price, Utah and went to College of Eastern Utah and recieved my Associates degree. After which, I moved to Cedar City, Utah to Southern Utah University and received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and my teaching license.

My first teaching job was in Stansbury Park, Utah at Rose Springs Elementary teaching 5th grade. I taught there for 3 years and then moved to Noah Webster Academy.

I moved to Noah Webster because I heard that it is the best charter school to work at and that all the scholars love it here. This is my 5th year here.

I love spending time in the outdoors with my family. We love camping and spending time in the mountains together.

This is me :)

 SIXTH GRADE TEACHERS

MR. CARLSON MS. RENNER MRS. ROSE

I grew up in a beach town called Oceanside, California, so I love the ocean and going to the beach! My family moved to Cedar Hills, Utah in 2006, which is where I met my husband. He and I will soon be parents to our first little baby boy and we couldn't be more thrilled! I am the youngest of 7 children.

I attended Brigham Young University and have a BS in Elementary Education with a minor in TESOL K-12. This year is my 5th year teaching elementary school. I love working with upper grade students, especially those at Noah Webster Academy. I came to Noah Webster after working at a couple of other schools and I can say that there is something very special about our school.

My hobbies include singing, going to exercise classes, being outdoors, baking, and traveling to new places. Another fun fact that scholars always love is that I have a second degree black belt in martial arts and have broken bricks with my hands.

I have lots of quotes hung up in my classroom, but my two favorites are: "Be the change you want to see in the world," and, "Think positive and positive things will happen." I want children to leave my classroom believing in themselves, and knowing they can accomplish difficult tasks.
