Carpool Guidelines

Parents are responsible for safely transporting students to and from school. Carpools are strongly encouraged, when possible, to reduce traffic. Parents will have an opportunity to meet and discuss carpool arrangements.

Noah Webster Academy is not responsible for carpools and assumes no liability for issues related to the organization, management or execution of carpools.

Every family enrolled at Noah Webster Academy will be assigned a carpool number and card, even if they are only dropping off and picking up their own children.

Your children's safety is our top priority. Please be conscientious and courteous each day; the existing process is very effective if everyone participates correctly. Please do not ever park and leave your vehicle anywhere along the drop-off/pick-up path.

Drop-off Guidelines

Students may be dropped off at the school no earlier than 8:15AM. No supervision exists prior to that time. Classes will begin promptly at 8:30AM. Afternoon Kindergarten drop-off time is 12:00 noon (class begins promptly at 12:15PM) Monday-Thursday and 10:30 on Fridays.

For the safety of all scholars, please unload children only in designated areas in front of the school, not out on the street.

If students are late or tardy (arriving after 8:30AM), parents are to walk their student into the school office.

Pick-up Guidelines

Pick-up begins at the end of the school day (3:15PM M-Th and 12:30PM on Friday). Under normal circumstances, do not pick up your student before the end of the school day.

Have your carpool number visible when approaching the pick up zone. Carpool numbers should be displayed on the passenger side of the vehicle on the visor or dashboard. If you lose your card, obtain a new one from the front office.

When approaching the pick-up zone pull your vehicle as far forward as possible. Do not get out of your car while in the carpool line. Children will be released from the gym when their carpool number is called.

Carpool time is not the appropriate time to meet with your child's teacher. Please contact them separately to schedule another time to meet. If you need to conduct business in the office in the afternoon, do so prior to 3:15PM or after 3:45PM. Your cooperation int his matter will greatly alleviate congestion in the are and outside concerns with traffic flow.

Carpool Information

Because carpools may change throughout the year, contust us immediately if any of the following occur:

• Someone drops out of your carpool
• Someone joins your carpool
• The carpool driver schedule changes
• Your family moves

Your children need to know their carpool number so they know when their carpool has arrived and can assist in the pick-up process.
