What is a charter school?
A charter school is a tuition-free, publicly funded school that
is started by parents, teachers, and/or community members that
gives parents a choice in how their children are educated. Charter
schools meet all State Requirements but have the autonomy to choose
the programs that best meet the needs of their students.
What is the Mission of
Noah Webster Academy?
The mission of Noah Webster Academy is to assist parents in their
stewardship of developing the hearts and minds of children by
creating a safe and nurturing environment of classical education
that fosters patriotism, cultural literacy, moral virtue, individuality,
self-government, and excellence, thereby inspiring a lifelong
love of learning, leadership, and service.
What curriculum will
be used?
The teachers at Noah Webster Academy will be extensively trained
in implementing a multi-sensory approach to E.D. Hirsch’s
Core Knowledge Sequence, Right Start and Saxon Math, The Spalding
Method of Language Arts and Shurley English to ensure that the
learning styles of all our students are met. Please see NWA

What is a Principle
Based Education?
A Principle Based Education is education in which students are
taught to research from original or primary source documents (the
founding documents of our nation, journal, letters, autobiographies);
reason for themselves core principles such as: Individuality,
Self-Government, Moral Virtue, Honor, Charity, Civility, Discipline,
Diligence/Industry, Integrity, Optimism, Brotherly Love and Faith
and Steadfastness, Conscience, Patriotism and Cultural Literacy;
relate these principles/values to their own lives, and record
their experiences through a variety of methods.
