Noah Webster Academy is a new, public K - 6 charter school with 525 students.  Our mission is to assist parents in their stewardship of developing the hearts and minds of their children.  We provide each student with a quality education that is comprehensive, balanced, sequential, and is designed to develop each child's unique individuality and ability to learn. Our curriculum includes the Core Knowledge sequence, Saxon Math, Right Start Math, Shurley English, and the Spalding method to compliment the Utah State Core guidelines.

We are looking for teachers who:  (1) Are strong supporters of parental choice and parental involvement in education; (2) Are Committed to providing a classical education and willing to teach the Core Knowledge sequence, traditional math, and phonics based English and language arts; and (3) Value Individuality, Self Government, Moral Virtue, Conscience in decision-making, Patriotism, Cultural Literacy, and Excellence and are willing to infuse these values in their classrooms, their students, and their own lives.

Minimum Qualifications Include

• Willingness to Work Full or Part Time for the Entire 2008-2009 School Year
• Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Elementary Education
• Licensure and Certification to teach K-6 or 1-6 in the State of Utah (by fall 2007)
