Kindergarten
Welcome to kindergarten! I am in my 11th year of teaching kindergarten here at Noah Webster Academy. I graduated from Utah Valley University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Outside the classroom, I have been happily married since 2004, and my wife and I are the proud parents of three amazing kids, ages 20, 16, and 14. I enjoy reading, cooking, video games, and spending time with my family in my freetime. I have a deep passion for teaching kindergarten and creating a warm, safe, and engaging environment where young learners can thrive.
My Teaching Philosophy
Building Curiosity, Confidence, and Community
Kindergarten is a child's foundational step into lifelong learning. I believe early education should be a vibrant mix of hands-on exploration, play-based discovery, and structured growth. Every child enters my classroom with unique potential, and my goal is to cultivate an environment where curiosity is celebrated, kindness is practiced daily, and mistakes are embraced as essential stepping stones in learning. By partnering closely with families and fostering a safe, encouraging classroom community, I strive to instill a love of learning that inspires my students long after they leave kindergarten.
